BRISBANE, CA—Lucida has brought the beauty and tradition of Mexican guitars to the music-loving public with the release of the new Lucida Vihuela (LG-VH1).
The Lucida Vihuela features a rounded wood back, a nato top and neck, a spruce bridge, a decorative inlaid rosette, half-herringbone purfling and a rosewood nut and fingerboard. The guitar also comes with authentic Mexican nylon vihuela strings.
The vihuela, a guitar traditionally used as a rhythm instrument for classical and mariachi music, has four frets and is known for its rounded back and vibrant tone.
The Lucida Vihuela is part of a family of new traditional instruments from Lucida, including the Lucida Guitarron Mexican bass and the Lucida Bajo Sexto, both showcasing the rich and resonant sound that the instruments are known for.
Lucida, a division of The Music Link, is the maker of authentic classical and flamenco guitars as well as traditional instruments.
